Dana Visser, a native of Western Washington, is one of the newest additions to Washington's National Park Fund's Board of Directors. In 2012, Dana graciously offered up his experience and expertise and co-chaired the committee who helped make the 2012 WNPF Annual Benefit & Auction a huge success. Dana was inspired to become a member of the board after learning what WNPF does for the parks, and seeing how his skills fit in so perfectly.
Dana believes the national parks provide us the best of America. Dana said, "It brings us back to simpler times; allows us to stop, relax, rejunenate and recreate. It takes us back to the past in the present and supporting the parks ensures that those coming after us will also enjoy the best of America."
Dana recently took a trip to Olympic National Park and took part in the ranger-led hike around the Elwha. Dana believe each park has special places, each great in different seasons. However, Dana knows Olympic National Park is great no matter the weather. "There is nothing like Olympic National Park in any kind of weather. Stormy weather for the beaches and rain forest, and the lodges by the fire. Crystal clear weather for Hurricane Ridge and Sol Duc Hot Springs. There's really no end to the adventures you can have," said Dana.
