Amanda Lovelady
District Manager, ARAMARK Parks and Destinations
Port Angeles, WA
Amanda Lovelady became a board member for Washington's National Park Fund because she believes in ensuring our parks are preserved and protected so they can be shared with the youth of tomorrow. She fell in love with the national parks at an early ago, spending many of her childhood vacations in Glacier, Grandy Canyon, Yellowstone, and other iconic parks. Because of these early experiences in the parks, Amanda knows how important it is to share the parks with our nation's youth.
After spending time after college in Alaska, her passion for the national parks grew. She resided in Alaska for nine years, and continued to explore the beauty of the outdoors. She has fond memories of spending the summer hiking under the midnight sun in Denali, Kenai Fjords and Wrangell St. Elias.
Recently, she moved to the Olympic Peninsula and works for ARAMARK Parks and Destinations, a key component to Washington's National Park Fund's Guest Lodge Donations program. After hearing about WNPF, and our mission, she felt compelled to be involved with such an important organization.
Because of her close ties to Olympic National Park, Amanda often takes visitors to many places through the park. Among her favorites are Lake Quinault, Kalaloch and Ruby Beach. Although, her favorite place is Storm King: "Sitting on top of Storm King at Lake Crescent on a bluebird day is perfect. The vertical hike with the best view of the lake, Victoria and the surrounding area must be paradise."
