A special house party hosted by Washington's National Park Fund board member and treasurer, Jon Evans, raised nearly $5,500 to support the "Fisher Reintroduction" project in Olympic National Park.  On Sunday evening March 30, 45 guests gathered to see a presentation by Acting Superintendent Sue McGill assisted by project director Patti Happe where they learned about the fisher and its relationship to the peninsula's ecosystem.

Jon spoke of his life-long love of the Olympic mountains.  “I grew up hiking and camping

in the Olympic mountains with my family, cousins and friends.  Olympic National Park is such a vital part of my life and I want to ensure it remains an important resource for everyone to enjoy.  Giving to Washington's National Park Fund helps make that happen.”

Guests also heard from Jon's uncle, former Washington Governor Dan Evans as well as Jon's father, Roger.

Thank you Jon and Katherine for your gracious hospitality!  And, thanks to everyone who supported this wonderful event!
