Engage Diverse Audiences in Elwha River Restoration
To celebrate the beginning of the removal of the Elwha and Glines Canyon dams, Olympic National
Park worked with its partners to plan, organize and present a special
kick-off event on the weekend of September 16-18, 2011. The program engaged diverse audiences, including children, youth, families and others in learning
more about the Elwha River Restoration. Partnerships were fostered and
strengthened through planning and preparation for this community event.
