Marblemount Volunteer Shelter

Washington's National Park Fund provided $35,000 in 2009 to North Cascades National Park to create a new volunteer shelter at Marblemount Ranger Station. This grant included gifts in memory of Cathleen Terczak. The new shelter not only provides volunteers and park staff with a place to gather that is protected from the elements, but is also available for community gatherings, celebrations, meetings and classes. The spacious shelter includes cement counters, a sink, animal-proof food storage, a wood stove, lighting, and wood tables and benches. The shelter was dedicated in June 2011.
